In January 2018, all Department for Education teachers were provided with access to an online system that allows them to create and document personalised learning plans using a new online module, One Plan.
This personalised learning plan will replace a range of learning plans including Negotiated Education Plan (NEP), Individual Learning Plan (ILP), and Individual Education Plan (IEP).
The One Plan will be developed annually by working in partnership with children / students, parents / carers / guardians and service providers. Learning plans are more effective when all participants contribute to their development. A meeting time and date will be negotiated with you during term 1 to share information about your child that will inform the development of the plan.
Information in a One Plan
A One Plan includes:
- the child or student’s strengths, interests, motivations and aspirations
- services provided by agencies
- school or preschool supports and adjustments
- background information on the child or student
- the child or student’s learning priorities within the curriculum
- aims, goals and adjustments planned to support the child or student
- endorsement and agreed actions.
We look forward to working collaboratively with you in the writing of the plan. Should you wish to have further information, you are welcome to contact the school.
